Issue Description:

I have installed the Source Record plugin for OBS, and it loads successfully (version 0.4.5, as confirmed in the log file). However, I am unable to find the Source Record dock in the OBS interface under the "Docks" menu, even after restarting OBS and resetting the docks. The plugin seems to be working as a filter, and I have set it to automatically start recording my game, but the dock remains unavailable.

I have tried:

  • Restarting OBS
  • Resetting the docks to default
  • Ensuring both OBS and the plugin are up to date
  • Checking the OBS log files, which confirm the plugin is loaded correctly
Could anyone help me with this issue, or is this a known problem?

Any idea if Source Record will get the Checkmark boxes for audio like OBS currently has? When I record all audio, it records Gameplay audio on Audio Track 1, ALL audio (mic, GAME, chat) on Audio Track 2, and my Mic on Audio Track 3.
I need the following Audio tracks:
1) Gameplay only
2) My mic
3) Discord and Game Chat

I'm using the "Always" setting so that I just have to toggle the filter on/off to record. I save the recording as hybrid_mp4, and pretty much everything else is left untouched. i have the same issue, it records just a few seconds and then not more

Will plugin enable the ability to record audio & video for a browser source which is not active in the program window?

dont think there is a dock for source record, its a filter you add to your separate sources so game capture- source record filter etc so any source from your scene- you add source record well the sources you record with

well the thing i dont know if you know that that you need make your audio and gameplay audio seperate so tick another box like track 3 for mic and gameplay another tracl and assign it in source record instead capturing all audio on one track as you will get that issue of hearing audio on your mic track, but it would be easier with the plugin but maybe there is not enough head room to add that

i had before i change the PC a Dock where i see this filter ...maybe i had it because i had BrunchOutput installed ...? but now it not works anymore with BrunchOutput Dock
 
Hello guys,

I'm publishing YouTube videos of my Dota 2 gameplay.

I have Dotabod minimap blocker (https://dotabod.com/) that creates an illusion that the entire map is warded. This is used because people can't streamsnipe you and see where you have vision and where you don't.

Can you please tell me how to remove the blocker/overlay so that the minimap looks just like in the game, so I can publish videos for my audience to see the minimap without any overlays?

Here's what I tried:

1. I tried to create an entire scene (everything the same, just without the Dotabod overlay (browser source)) and put the source record effect there.
2. I tried putting the source record effect just on Dota 2 (game capture).

The results are the same.

It's lagging, there are frames missed due to rendering and encoding lag.

I tried both CBR and QBR, but it's practically the same.

Exeldro please please fix this! I am a content creator and i use OBS exclusively to record gameplay for my channel and i haven't been able to record anything separate for my channel in a long time since october last year bro ( THATS SUCH A LONG TIME AND OTHERS SAY SOURCE RECORD IS BASICALLY UNUSABLE IVE FOUND THAT TO BE TRUE) and its Driving me insane that there isn't another plug in other than yours >:( JUST GIVE US CUSTOMER SERVICE MAN!!!!! IVE TRIED CHANGING SETTINGS AND SO MUCH MORE
 
@gsama what is it you want me to fix? Without knowing what your issue is I can not fix it. When you find bugs that I not fix fast enough you can always make the changes yourself or hire a developer to do it for you. The plugin is free and open source and provided as is.

I bought new PC and installed OBS and Source Record plugin. When recording everytime weird thing happen to source record file. Either it corrupted (I can't open it) or some glitches happen like it won't record voice, or it will record voice for the first few seconds and then nothing, or the recorded mkv file freezes in the mid of the file or no voice and a lot of missing frames. Very weird.

I use AMD 9950X3D with RTX 5090 and Win 11. I also use Elgato Prompter but same results with the elgato camera hub on or off.
I was playing with all the settings, tried different encoders etc. Newest drivers installed etc.

Could you help please?

I try to use ver 0.4.0~0.4.5 but it will be forced shutdown OBS when I stop source record plugin.
Although 0.3.5 worked, nothing problem, can use.

Hello, I'm having a problem when I use your plugin with an RTMP video source...
The source disconnects from the plugin and stops recording.
I have to disable the plugin, then re-enable it for it to work... but only for a few seconds...
Any ideas?
