In my case the HDMI input/output in Fire TV was set to a different HDMI to the one I was using for Audio. As soon as I corrected it in Fire TV I got sound and was able to use the Fire TV remote to control the sound level. I then locked the sound in OBS Studio. Hope this helps.
All the best.

I’ve tried a lot of methods to get the audio to work and it’s not! I’ve been stuck for over two weeks! What other location did you find on windows 11? My setup is PS5 —> Monitor —> capture card —> laptop, laptop also has microphone via usb (not connected to the Capture card).
OBS audio setup for video capture device is ALL jacked up. Watch over 25 help videos and still can’t find a solution. The min thing is why in hell is video capture device INACTIVE in the audio/mixer with no way to active it????! And NO it’s not my PC . The sound setup test is fine. Even though it doesn’t recognize video capture card anywhere in the device enabled options.
