Any one else suddenly have enocder overload and fps drops after updating? I was expermienting with the new shaders but the noise filter one ran really bad and dropped frames. Removed all of it but now when other effects popup obs screams encoder overload

Edit: Yep downgrading to 2.4.1 all is normal again

@therealdadbeard what shader exactly with what settings do you get the performance issues?
the new noise filter shader really wrecks my system, 5800x3d and 4070ti. But having other effects on screen seem to have the same performance issue.

I have a redeem where two buldge shaders are enabled but with this new version i got encoder overload all the way. Downgrading fixed it.

@therealdadbeard the smart_denoise.shader can be heavy when you set a high sigma values. The BulgePinch.shader works fine for me. You can check the cpu and gpu usage using the Source Profiler plugin:

Yes but that's not what my point is.

I updated and effects which were fine before suddenly wrecked my OBS. But I will have to update again and check what was going on and get a log if that happens again.

Hey, I've been using these VHS shaders made by PQCraft (in the description here), but I'm having an issue where some of them only work when OBS is using OpenGL. When running them with OBS using Direct3D, it throws "undeclared identifier" errors for things like mix, fract, or vec2. Is this an issue with the shader, or with the plugin? Anything I can do to fix it on my end without having to use OpenGL? Thanks.

Hi! Excelent plugin! I was looking for the green_spill_remover and other wich I can use for better chroma keying. Do you made someone? I hope. Thank you!!!

Hi Mr. Exeldro,
I found myself needing to erase my hd and starting all over again. I missed a little over a week. I am using the same latest OS Ventura and the latest OBS on an intel Mac. The updated increments were small on Ventura. I tried both Mac installers of shaderfilter. They install successfully, but shaderfilter doesn't show up in effects. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas? I look forward to the updates.Thanks......Oh! I know it should show up as "user defined shaders." However, it's not showing up at all.

@Want To Learn does the plugin show in the OBS log file?
Thanks so much for telling me they might be in the wrong folder. I went in search of the right folder and found it. I put them and composite blur in the folder that has working plugins and now hey all work! I know nothing about software, but have learned a few tricks while trying to install things over the years. You ROCK! show package contents - contents - plugins (this folder.) Thanks for all you do!

Mr Exeldro, I don't think this is installing properly on my mac. I looked for the updated shader Dynamic Vortex and I don't see it, but I see Dynamic Mask unless this is the same thing. Besides, when I Scroll down to the version no. it says 2.5.0. not 2.5.1. Thanks. Update: I remember the info was on the Draw question, so I installed it to say 2.5.1, but I still don't see the word vortex unless it's within dynamic mask or something. Thanks.

I also tried Walking Dead Pixel Fixer and I receive a syntax error, 0: 106. Thanks. On a Mac. Update: I clicked ion effect then I reloaded it. It appears to be there, but none of the controls seem to do anything EXCEPT resizing the pixels. I get a blue color along the bottom. If I resize the other ones it creates a blue screen. In really small increments. I will continue to play around to see if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks.
