Bug Report Conflict with RECentral

Okay, just did another hour of testing. So if I have it capture a PS2 game, it's fine. If I have it so much as look at the menu icon for a PS3 game, it crashes. If I have it capture a PC game (I tested with Civ5 and Evil Genius) it works fine. If I add my webcam, it crashes.

Part of it I think are performance issues as my processor is getting quite old and I'm replacing it this week. On one hand I do tons of CPU heavy things every day and it works fine. I render HD video many times week. On the other hand, that would explain why it's not as strong as it used to be, assuming that's the issue.

Regardless of if it's the CPU or not, that doesn't account for it instantly crashing if I show a PS3 game to the capture card while OBS is open. I'll test again as soon as the new Intel Core i7-3770K is in, however I have no idea what to expect at this point.

You can generate new logs by just simply turning on preview. A new log will then be generated for the duration that OBS is opened.

Do that with both and get me a log file for both if at all possible, would be somewhat helpful (though not guaranteed)

I will probably have to test this out in the future myself when I get the avermedia back in my system.

The crash only seems to happen if I stream it, not if I preview it. The log is the most updated version of OBS attempting to stream the PS3 menu while hovering over a PS3 game. It actually had a different result this time. Instead of just disconnecting my internet and stopping the stream after 30 seconds, it went on for a while but the entire time it was dropping frames like mad on a static menu. I have no idea where to find the log for the old OBS since there isn't a view log option within the program in that old version and I can't tell the logs apart in Appdata.

I'm reading the post on how to upload the logs but I honestly don't get it. It says to select the log text at the top of the editor. I don't know the editor for what, if it's talking about on this forum, or if it's talking about in the log file in notepad. I think it wants me to paste it here in square brackets. If I got that wrong, I apologise.

EDIT

Okay it doesn't fit. I'm going to try uploading it.

Er, ok, so when you say it "crashes" are you meaning that the program itself crashes or you just get disconnected when you stream? That's not actually a crash.

Anyway, that log you posted shows a very high amount of dropped frames, which means your network connection is a problem. This thread contains every piece of network advice we can give, and I suggest you look it over thoroughly: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/dropped-frames-disconnecting-lag-read-this-first.8870/

I explained it in the start of the thread but I don't know if I did a very good job. What would happen is that the internet would just disconnect very shortly after I've started streaming, but only with RECentral and OBS. I actually just came off of a 3 hour stream of Civ5 on the highest settings and there was no issue. I used the most updated OBS for that.

We did actually just hook up a new router a week or two ago, although it's seemed to give us less troubles than the last one. In fact it seems like the connection is better than it used to be. Could that still be the problem?
