Question / Help Best settings?

Hey guys, me again. I think I'm gonna try streaming SC2 in 720p@48fps using a CBR of around 1400-1500. What CPU preset should I use for my 4.5GHz 2500K? I'm not sure if veryfast or faster? Also, what bitrate audio do you think I should use?

Also, what can I do to try and prevent frame drops?

I'm trying to find a way to best optimize a 720p stream for my computer / connection without getting any lag spikes or anything like that, but I'm not too good with all of the advanced settings in OBS (Stuff like process priority class and custom x264 encoder settings)

The best way to find out -- Is to just experiment. You will do no physical harm to your PC or to yourself in experimenting to your heart's content. So, feel free to completely mess up. You'll undoubtedly pick up a great deal of knowledge about OBS along the way and we'll always be here to fix it if you really mess it up.

Hmm. I've definitely settled on 48 FPS as my connection probably isn't good enough for 60FPS but 30FPS looks horrible. I was getting dropped frames though. In a 50 minute stream, I got like 2% dropped frames (Can't remember the exact number). I set the bitrate to 1450 and chose CBR but I saw the little bitrate number in the bottom right kept jumping up to 1700, which may have caused the dropped frames? If so, I'm not sure how to stop it from jumping up like that.

I personally stream on 720p@30fps with fast preset on my i5 2500k@4.4Ghz and 0 dropped frames the whole time :) Check out your cpu usage, this can caused dropped frames too i guess.
