Background Removal / Virtual Green-screen & Low-Light Enhance

Background Removal / Virtual Green-screen & Low-Light Enhance v1.1.13

Hi Roy,
I had been with you from the start. Learned a little bit about how to install software into OBS without an installer 2 or 3 yrs. ago etc.... I downloaded every upgrade, which eventually came with a traditional .dmg installer for the mac. Fast forward to today. For my purposes it's working great! It's for one on one lessons on-line. Now, I don't need to set up a physical green screen in the tight space that I live in, which can be a pain sometimes. I also don't want people to see a big mess either. LOL. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Does the plugin work better with certain GPUs and capture cards over others? One machine I use to stream with has an Intel CPU, Radeon GPU and a Magwell capture card - this gets massive frame loss and streaming lag with the plugin running, while another machine with an AMD CPU, nVidia GPU and Elgato Cam Link capture card works flawless with the plugin running. Both machines stream with the hardware encoder at 1080p 60fps.

Is this plug in work with macOS 10.15 Catalina?

I have tried to download older versions but none of them seems to work.

I have installed the plugin file and can see plugin folder in my application support, but still not working.

can someone help please?

Great plugin HOWEVER:

is there a way to add a virtual background to replace the removed background somehow? Like insert a static image OR a moving video?

I downloaded and installed the plugin (Windows 10) but "background removal" isn't showing up in my list of filters. Did I miss a step?

I'm a Mac guy, but I would first make sure that you double check that you downloaded the specific to your PC and operating system and that you have the correct OS and version of OBS. Good luck!

I installed OBS-Studio-31.1.1-Windows-x64-Installer.exe and obs-backgroundremoval-1.1.13-windows-x64-Installer.exe.
After installing the plugin, OBS does not start properly. The message is 'OBS did not close down well, start in safe or normal mode.' I had to uninstall the OBS plugin to get OBS working again. Do you have a fix?

I'm in OBS 31.0.4 on Linux Mint. I downloaded both the .ddeb and .deb background removal files for Linux, then right clicked to "Open with Package Installer". Linux ran the installation and then said both were successfully installed. My camera source is working fine, but the Background Removal is not showing up in the Effects list. I tried rebooting the computer and when I tried reinstalling the downloads with "Open with Package Installer", Linux says it's already installed. I also tried deleting the camera source and re-adding it. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the filter, it works great on my Windows machine...

If the plugin doesn’t appear in your list of filters after installation, make sure the version of the plugin matches your OBS Studio version. Also, double-check that you’ve installed the correct architecture (x64) if you're on a 64-bit OS. On Linux or macOS, sometimes you need to manually verify that the plugin files were actually placed in the correct obs-plugins directory.

Thanks Wesley, I'm new to Linux. How do I manually verify? Where is the correct obs plugins directory in Linux Mint, what files are supposed to be there, and, if they aren't, what next?
Thanks again, I appreciate the response!

Sean I installed the same plug in on my Windows machine last week, I got the same message. I don't recall exactly, but I think all I did was restart my computer, and then obs started up normally and the background remover was there and working just fine. Hope this helps, because beyond that I have no idea...I haven't been so lucky getting the plugin installed on my Linux...
