Question / Help Whats the Point Of Profiles??

What is the point of the profile settings??. I have 2 settings i want to use in OBS, one for local recording and one for Live Streaming, once i have set up the settings for my local recording i save the profile as 'Local', and then i change the settings for my live streams and save that profile as 'Live'. But when i switch back to the 'Local' profile the settings dont change, any ideas why the profiles are not working?

Please remember, each time you change a dialog, its settings get saved to the currently selected profile. So if you change your settings BEFORE setting a new profile, the old profile will have those settings.
Easiest way to create profiles is like this:
Save profile "Local"
change all settings
Save profile "Internet"
change all settings
Now if you switch back, "local" will have the correct settings, and "Internet" as well. (I hope my brain didnt fool me, but that should work)
