When I set up my Logitech C270 up to OBS it works fine for maybe a few minutes then it either freezes or skips like it has super low frame rate .... is there a way i can resolve this? also the cam is up to date

If possible try to give me a log file via the help menu, that log file was incomplete, doing it by the help menu will give you the last complete one

Think you could try turning down the resolution of the camera a bit? Also, could you make it a global source?

I made it global source and turned down the resolution with the same effect ... its just a crappy cam maybe i could buy an new one or it has to do with my computers hardware.

It shouldn't be the camera's fault, that's a pretty good camera. That being said though I'm not entirely sure.

I thought it might of been a RAM issue i had 8 gigs and bought 8 more gigs and the results the same .... i dont understand why it does this but it dont on ppl who pratically have the same kinda set up as i do.

I have the same problem with the same camera. My stream/recording goes fine (it doesn't lag freeze at all throughout this) streaming xbox 360 gameplay, but then the webcam freezes. My computer is fine (I can run other programs at the same time, no lag) but the cam freezes in one frame forever. I'm running chroma key and a video source (rotating banner) as well on a computer with 3.5 ghz cpu, 2gb vram, 8 gb ram, etc. I don't think it's a performance issue...

im assuming its obs being stupid. Im going to buy Xsplit

I've actually had the same problem with Xsplit. My webcams freeze but the gameplay keeps running. Then I can't close Xsplit/OBS. My computer won't shut down properly either without force shut down.

I have the same problem with the C270 Logitech cam. Can stream for about 2 hours then the cam locks up and the mic starts lagging and cutting in and out. Also I made a highlight of it happening on my twitch stream. Updated drivers does the same thing. Tried usb2.0/3.0 ports. http://www.twitch.tv/notdroogz/v/9633725
