Volume Too Low

Hello there. Recently, I purchased a video capture card to view TV and possibly record on my laptop. I got the video working fine, but the volume just seems too low. I have to put the laptop volume all the way up just to get a decent volume and I shouldn’t have to do that. When I try different audio things in OBS, it doesn’t make any difference at all. What can I be doing wrong and is there a possible solution out there. If anyone can help out, I’d appreciate it.

Hi rschmauch82, go to "filters", and click on the "+" icon in audio/video filters and add the gain filter, adjust the volume to your liking there!

I tried it and it didn’t do anything.

I even tried updating my drivers to no avail.

Figured it out. I needed to be on the source of the audio! Duh!

In OBS, try boosting the gain in the audio filters or checking if the default input level is set too low. Hope that helps!
