Bug Report Video problems when using local recording

Hello,
first of all thanks for creating wonderful free software, I've been using OBS for 6 months and was very pleased with it so far.
However I've encountered a problem lately and it's becoming extremely annoying as it's also wasting a lot of my time. Sometimes when I use OBS to record videos, and later upload them on youtube, my video gets stuck, audio works fine however picture is frozen. I'm using game capture. Game would run smoothly but OBS would capture only starting screen from the game but not the video. This happens in 30% of my recordings, in other 70% everything is ok, I've been looking for an answer on forum couldn't find any, nor I could find the same situation happening to someone.

Thanks in advance, best wishes.

When does this happen? Does it only happen for specific games, or every? Also, could you post a log file?

Here is the log file https://gist.github.com/833e06ece8ffe6b8549f

Now the interesting thing is, I've been streaming the same game without any problems, for couple of months It may have happened once that the screen was glitched. However when I record it in local it happens fairly often. I'm recording Victoria 2: Heart of Darkness.

Streaming that and few other games without any problems.

You have a very, very, very weak Processor and are trying to record nearly full 720p resolution:

Total frames encoded: 142051, total frames duplicated: 141541 (99.64%)
Number of frames skipped due to encoder lag: 141521 (99.63%)
Total frames rendered: 526, number of late frames: 8 (1.52%)

This leads me to believe your system might not be capable to use the settings you have set. (I am actually pretty sure, I just dont know how you could record 70% of your videos so far). I would recommend to switch your preset to ultrafast and see if that helps. If not you will have to lower your settings further, resolution/fps in special, or just upgrade your system (the cpu is 5 years old).

Hmm I guess that's an issue. Here is the video that I was able to record without problems

What would be optimal system for recording in 720p? Is it only processor that I need to change or you suggest getting entirely new pc?

Just out of curiosity, plus it might help you in solving some problems in future, I recorded one today and everything went fine.
Here is the log so you can compare https://gist.github.com/dbdf6678ae667944f3f9

Now something that I forgot to mention, I've noticed that this problem keeps happening when I have low memory on my local disk(80GB free out of 365GB), I've not experienced these kind of problems when I had over 120 GB free. This might be the problem however it might be pure coincidence or perhaps I wasn't paying attention all the time.

In any case, thanks for help!
