Bug Report Scenes file deleted

Hey :)

Been using 0.60.0 b6 till today, and an "interesting" glitch came up during a system freeze: scenes file got (corrupt?) and was replaced by a completely empty one, all the global sources set up were gone too. This is the first time this ever happens (even though crashes and freezes occured before), perhaps you could implement a quick scenes back up feature or at least a warning to users to back their scenes up.

I'm not entirely sure but it seems that if there is a full system freeze while the user is editing a scene the scenes configuration file gets replaced by an empty one.

If your system freezes, that will affect any files that may have been written to while the freeze happened. If you had a full system freeze then there's an issue with your hardware that you might have to check out. I think you said it was the PSU in that other thread that was having problems?

Yea I know, the point here was maybe you could consider implementing a quick backup of scene settings so nothing like that happens to anyone else, who are as forgetful as I am and don't keep anything :)

I guess back then it'd have been better to creating this in "suggestions", but I thought maybe it was a bug in the software that it'd delete all settings if it wasn't properly shut down or something (I had some experience with other software doing this).

The ability to export scene layouts will be added as part of the rewrite. In the meantime, you can make a copy of the scenes.xconfig file in %appdata%/obs to back up your scenes.
