Question / Help Recording and Streaming at the same time?

Hey guys!

So I know you can stream and record in the same quality at the same time, but I was wondering if it is possible to stream in 720p and record in 1080p at the same time? And if not now, is this something planned for the future?

Also can we stream to two twitch channels at once?

Its on the roadmap as a "higher priority" item. "Separate encoder option for file output". Your second request is also there listed as "Stream to multiple services at once." Or at least I imagine that includes streaming to the same service twice.

This is something I'm interested in too. I hear as a workaround you can run OBS twice, once for the stream and again for the record (or second stream), but I haven't tried it myself as my streaming computer isn't good enough. I'll solve that problem when Intel's new Haswell CPUs come out and I buy another system.
