Problem with adding audio

Currently, I'm trying to add additional audio files to my video I'm editing.

However, when I add the audio, I don't hear it at all. It says that there's 0 decibels, but no sound is playing. I checked the settings, and I don't think that's the problem either.

The audio titled "Audio (Disclaimer)" is the one I'm trying to listen to.
In addition, I recorded that audio through OBS as well. When I look into my files, and play the audio directly, the audio plays just fine.

You need to learn "Monitoring" feature of OBS. By default, OBS captures audio from devices/files/streams and sends all data only to output (not to speakers or headphones). Just as viewing an image requires a display device, the same goes for audio - listening to sound requires a device.
You can find Audio Monitoring settings in:
  • main menu Edit > Advanced Audio Properties
  • main menu File > Settings > Audio > Advanced (group) > Monitoring Device
Detailed (the thread about a VHS capture, but same question arose "how to listen what OBS is currently recording?"):
Of search the forum for other examples.
