I've been using OBS for the longest time and it has never given me problems until as of late. Whenever I try to stream a game I have it all set to capture the game and everything but as soon as I bring focus to the game window, the game will crash itself. I have narrowed it down to the .NET framework causing this. When I uninstall .NET it works fine. I need the framework though for my DPS counter on FF14. Does anyone know what I can do? OBS isn't crashing, it's the games.

DPS counter? When a game crashes it almost always means there's a conflicting hook program. Does your DPS counter create an overlay on your game? If so then that would most likely be the cause. You can alternatively run the game in a borderless/windowed mode and use window capture instead to bypass hook issues.

I fixed it! I ran the .NET cleanup tool and it did it's thing and it hasn't given me a problem. The DPS Counter runs in the background completely separate from the game and the crashes were occurring before I even tried to use the counter. It was .NET messing with something. Thank you!
