Bug Report OBS unable to stream game(s)

I'm having problems streaming different games as OBS will just draw a black screen (or occasionally stream a few seconds and freeze to a specific point). I've tried running software capture with windowed mode, software capture monitor and game capture. All modes fails. Streaming desktop monitor works perfectly. Sound gets streamed properly.

It used to work perfectly fine. The problems occurred after I updated the ATI Radeon graphic drivers but I'm not entirely convinced they are causing it.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

If you're running OBS 64-bit or the game in 64-bit, try switching to OBS 32-bit and the game in 32-bit then try again. Sometimes that will happen when running 64-bit.

Oh ok. I will be sure to try switching to 32bit.
EDIT: I'm actually running 32bit of OBS and the games have no option of running 64bit. Tried both versions of OBS and beta release, still getting black screen when trying to stream games.

First, try opening the game window before opening OBS then open OBS. If it doesn't work then try having the game window opened first then delete the source and add the source again in OBS. If it doesn't work then post a log file and maybe the problem can be found there.

Still not working properly trying your suggestions. I did manage to get a short stream 'till I alt tabbed back and forth.

This can happen with certain directx subrevisions, or if you don't run windows update at all. I know because I had it happen at one point a long time ago.
