So in a recent move to Windows 10 to see what all is currently functional, I was.. rather surprised. Just about everything I did with OBS seemed to work perfectly fun, until I came across Final Fantasy XIV.
With this game running in Windowed or Borderless Windowed Mode, adding it to OBS as a Game Capture will only capture a black screen with the mouse cursor also captured. Hovering over anything in game that changes the mouse cursor to a different type does change the mouse cursor on the OBS preview, but the rest of the game is black. Game Capture also seems to have an extremely odd impact on FPS in game while the Preview is running, cutting the frame rate in half. It does however capture sound from the game and if you switch to full screen, it also captures the game itself, although still with the extremely massive performance hit, all of which are things that never occurred in Win 7 or Win 8.1.
Have double checked to make sure game and OBS are being ran on the same video adapter already and ran through what troubleshooting I could.
Obviously, Win 10 support isn't a primary concern with it being months off, but I find it extremely odd that this problem seems to occur only with this game and seems to involve so many.. odd issues like the incredibly awkward FPS hit/still showing the games cursor but black screening everything else outside full screen.
Log file included.
