It appears to be occurring in the nvidia driver interface libraries. My recommendation is to either get the latest drivers, or if that fails, then try running the sims in borderless or windowed mode and use window capture on the game. Graphics drivers on switchable graphics laptops tend to be somewhat unstable with certain capture methods.
