Disable any CPU overclocks and check your CPU temperatures and run a memory test, crashing inside x264 should not happen on a stable system.

I do not run any overclock on my CPU. I used to have windows 7 and be able to stream without any issue. Now with windows 8 this pops up.

Interesting, Windows 8 seems like the only common factor here so far. Scitty89, you should update your version of OBS though regardless.

unfortunately haven't had any issue with windows 8 on my end so I don't quite know how to replicate it, but I'll try updating to the latest version of x264 and see if maybe that helps or something.

I downloaded the newest version and still have the same problem. I believe it is a problem with compatability with windows 8, thats the only thing i can think of. Have you guys looked at that at all?

Another thing is we both have radeon 78xx and i know there is some issues with xsplit with those particular video cards would that be the same with this?

It's crashing inside x264 which is all software encoding, it shouldn't be related to your graphics card. If you can provide a crash .dmp file (upload one at www.sendspace.com or similar site) it would be helpful.

the crash dump path is linked in the crash log, where it says:

A minidump was saved to C:\Users\Rafael\AppData\Roaming\OBS\crashDumps\OBSCrashDump2013-01-13_2.dmp.
Please include this file when posting a crash report.

No feedback per se, but we have looked at it, and are trying to figure it out. I'm not sure when we'll be able to make any update on the situation.
