Are you stuck on Mavericks for a particular reason?

All the teams involved in developing OBS seem to be short on Apple hardware. I'd not be surprised if they are not testing on 10.9 when current is 10.12 and 10.13 is due out in a couple of months.

At least one person (me) is stuck on 10.9.5 because of audio / Jack Router. I have tried using a multiple-output device (actually, several of them; one as the default output, the others as program-specific outputs), only to find that at least in 10.9.5, multi-output devices that include an HDMI monitor will fail to work once the monitor is turned off, and then turned back on again (say, overnight / next morning).

Grumble Grumble Grumble Apple, you used to be the best-choice for graphics and audio. Now, your audio support stinks, and your graphics ... the inability to actually display what's in the picture (instead of a monitor correction of a picture) really makes things hard at times grumble grumble.

Have you looked at Loopback? Also, if Jack only works on 10.9 that explains why I was never able to get it to work...

Apparently, from 10.10 to 10.11 (10.12?), it won't work as the default device, only if you select it as an explicit audio.

Now, from what I understand of SIP in 10.12, process injection is no longer possible, and Jack uses that -- so I'm not sure that Jack works at all for anything anymore.

Loopback? I was using loopback -- RogueAmeoba's LineIn, I think (a free, three sets of sources / three sets of outputs), and trying to make sure I got all of the settings right each time was a big pain.

LineIn is free.

Loopback is a paid app but a lot more fully featured-- unlimited number of virtual devices that can include multiple hardware as well as virtual devices.

The price *is* a bit steep, though, but I can't say I've regretted it.
