Hm, I need to get the LGP. Did you manually change the resolution? If you change it higher than the default resolution it can cause this crash (which is really my fault for allowing). You're using the avermedia stream engine, correct?

I had my settings for OBS & LGP at 1920x1080 resolution. I remember when starting at the PS3 menu the preview stream works fine but I when I get into a game it crashes.

Try setting the LGP to 1280x720 instead -- I can't help but wonder if the device is dynamically changing the resolution or something, that seems very unusual. I may have to buy that device to check it out. How do you have your PS3 connected to the LGP? I assume component?

yes it component. ok I tried it and it seems to work fine when I put a game on. I'm really confused why would it crash when playing a game but not on the PS3 menu. anyways thanks for the help.

Most PS3 games don't run at 1080P. So while the main XMB menu runs at 1080P, it'll switch to 720P when you launch the game. This will cause that crash.
