Bug Report OBS causing Borderlands 2 to crash

Hi developers,

I've been streaming very regularly for the past few weeks, and OBS has been working perfectly for other games. Yet, somehow, when I try to stream Borderlands 2 (this includes recording and even previewing stream), it causes the game to crash. It used to work fine previously, and I didn't change any settings that might have caused this problem. I'm attaching the log file here. Is the problem to do with OBS or the game itself?

Its also crashing Warframe and shows tons of black screens when its works propertly with steam game versions.

I had the exact same issue with TF2. It would crash TF2 the minute it was selected as a source.

Although, I found disabling Razer Synapse and Geforce Experience solved the problem

could maybe be an issue between those programs?

Synapse and other hooking apps (FRAPS, FPS overlays, overclocking utils, etc) will cause conflicts with game capture and likely crash the game.

That's all well and good, but it's crashing with nothing else running - just the Steam version of Borderlands 2 and OBS. I even tried disabling the Steam overlay, and it didn't help at all.

This happens to me on occasion with Borderlands 2. Usually only occurs if the game is running before I turn on OBS to stream/record. Try running OBS first (you will get a black screen but it will show properly once the game is launched). See if that helps your crash issue.
