Hey everyone, I'd like to thank you in advance for any help and advice you are able to provide as I've already doesn't a few days trying to troubleshoot.
That being said, I won't be able to post logs until tonight but figured I'd make a post in case anyone knows of a known issue that can cause my problems.
Computer: MSI GT70 dominator-895. It has integrated Intel hd 4600 graphics along with a gtx 870m nvidia gpu with 2GB dedicated graphics RAM.
I've tried setting up my stream on twitch.tv with a few different configurations.
Monitor capture: tried this method first and it works for a few minutes before crashing with an error about texture map failure. In my initial research, I found one post indicating that there is a known issue with nvidia gtx mobile cards so I decided to try a different method.
Game capture and window capture: I've tried these separately. Using these capture modes, I am able to stream but when I attempt to load into a game (League of legends), it immediately causes my game to crash and I am unable to reconnect. The only way I have been able to restore functionality to league is by uninstalling using the Windows uninstall tool AND manually going back to delete all leftover folders in appdata and program files. If I do not delete these files, I can install the game but I am still unable to connect to games with the same symptoms.
I have done clean installs of OBS, ensured all drivers and Windows updates are fully up to date, run ccleaner to clean temp files and my registry. I've only had this laptop a few days and have reinstalled league and OBS at least 5 times each ensuring that I have not messed with any crucial settings that I'm aware of.
I'm sure you'll need some logs to see what exactly is happening so I'll try and upload those tonight. Thanks again in advance!
