Bug Report No support for surround input from capture sources (Blackmagic/Elgato)

I want to be able to play my games in Surround sound (I recently upgraded my AV reciever to a pioneer VSX-924 for this purpose). But I'm finding that capturing audio is proving to be a total nightmare. I either have to play in stereo when streaming, or capture from my mic the audio I'm hearing.

Blackmagic WDM capture is just a glitchy mess of audio, and Decklick Video/Audio capture only outputs sound if I select 2 channels, but then lick using the Elgato, I only get the L/R channels and the C/SL/SR/SW channels are ignored completely so no dialogue etc.

If I select 6 channels from "Decklink Audio Capture" I get no audio whatsoever...

Is this a problem with OBS not supporting multi-channel audio or am I just being stupid somehow? (Or both)

7.1 Desktop audio seems to capture fine.

Here's a log file just showing me trying to preview with a video device source of Decklink Video/Audio Capture @ 1280p@59.9 and 6ch, 48khz, 16-bit audio device. No sound is outputted.

Best test for this is Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, the demo cutscene has no voice (It plays on center channel) if you choose stereo while the console is set to output surround sound.
