Question / Help New Streamer, My Specs (Need help with settings)

Ive got a good computer but a bad upload speed and im hoping someone here who has had this experience can help me achieve my goal.

Goal: 720p quality with +30FPS

Specs:
i7 3770k - oc'd to 4.4ghz
radeon 7970 x2
Upload speed, 1mbps

As far as i know thats all related specs. other things such as Win7 or 64gb ram dont seem too important to my question.

720p seems very unrealistic to me. You are limited by your upload speed.
Try to use a bitrate about 700-800 (also for buffer). Enable CBR. Stream at 480p@30fps with Lanczos Filter and choose the "fast" x264 preset (medium, if your cpu can handle it / faster if your cpu cant). Audio codec AAC 96 kbits. I think you can also stream at 720p but 'cuz of your upload speed it will result in a very pixelated stream on high motion.

Just a suggestion. I have no idea about the stream quality on this settings.

what are you planning on streaming?

as a base start i would use 480p resolution at 30fps with 800 bitrate CBR 96 aac audio encoding and stream to the closest server to you.

but the game you play will make a difference to quality and i`m not confident you can push 720p at 30fps on that upload but i hope im wrong.
