Hi Community,

I really need help with my stream.

Since I am at work now, i cannot provide you with logs but i think i can provide you with all the information that is relevant.

I have spent countless hours reading & watching streaming guides on blogs and youtube but it seems as everyone has other settings.

Most important informations:

  • Internet: Upload test @ testmy.net i get 3,2 - 3,5 Mbps with 33MB test size
Computer: I bought a new pc 3 weeks ago with an intel I7 3770 and a GeForce GTX 670.
Software: I usually stream with Dxtory combined with OBS
    Game: Dota 2 high quality

My Settings Dota 2 that work fine without a lag:

Dxtory:
  • Set 1280x720 + 30 FPS enable 8 Cores

OBS:
  • - Quality 8
    - max bitrate: 3000 Buffer: 6500 (since i read Buffer should be double and a bit of max bitrate)
    - enable hyberthread processing
    - 1280x720 + 30 FPS

On this settings everything works FINE and smooth, sometimes I get a really small lag.
CPU resources are around 40% when ingame is not much action and goes to around 60-70% if there is more action.

IF i reach over 70% of CPU power there may accure minor lag.

Since i bought a NEW PC, I really want to stream in a top quality without ANY lag but it seems as if 1080p FULL HD or a flawless 10 quality of 720p HD isn´t possbible.

So here are my 2 Questions:

Is there maybe a chance to optmize the settings so that i can stream in a higher quality ?

extra Question: I tryed once 60 Fps but never achieved 60 stream FPS. Without stream i reach 120 fps no problem.
World of Warcraft 60 FPS was in the past no problem but WoW was in general laggy.
Why is it that Dota 2 cant go to a steady 60 fps ?

I hope that someone with the same PC components has some Ideas for me or maybe there is a Dota 2 streamer out there that can help.
I wouldn´t mind if a streaming pro also could help.

kind regards,
Mr NiceGuy

only thing i can think of at the moment would be, if you're using OBS, dont use dxtory with it...just use game or window capture in OBS.
