Hi,

I'm trying to use OBS to capture Dolphin Emulator, an emulator for Gamecube/Wii on a Mac. I'm fairly new to using OBS so I do not know how to resolve this issue. When I try and use Game Capture (Syphon) with OBS, only 1/4 of the emulator is captured. I get the result below...

There is a lot more to the actual emulator screen, so I do not know what is happening.

I do not know what information will be necessary to solve this, so if you need any information I will be happy to provide it.

Thanks,

Omega

**EDIT**

Just realized that a new version of OBS was released (0.12.4) so I updated it. The changelog said "Fixed an issue where some OpenGL games wouldn't capture properly on windows (windows release pending)" and it said Windows. This means that the bugfix did not work on Mac, which I also tried and I get the same result.

P.S. Just letting you know I already tried Stretch to fit screen and it still shows the same thing... in fact it will stay like that no matter what size is chosen. Thought that would help a bit in figuring this out...

SyphonInject is great when it works, but it doesn't work for everything. Have you tried using a display capture and then cropping and scaling the image?

Doing that sadly ends up losing a lot of speed on Dolphin Emulator. Any other methods?

Not that I'm aware of. Syphon is the most performant method of capture, but not as reliable as display capture. That said, I don't have any personal experience with Dolphin, but I have encountered various problems using Syphon on other games (memory leaks, crashes, graphical glitches, etc). When it works, it's great.

Display capture loses a lot of FPS rate on Dolphin, making the video very choppy in graphics and audio. There has to be some sort of fix for Syphon in this case... If anyone else could help I would be grateful.
