Bug Report Gray Thumbnail Image On TwitchTV

Okay, I've been using OBS for quite some time and I've never had any issues. In fact, I have nothing but great things to say
when I talk about OBS however, recently when I go to cast and then end my cast, I've been getting a gray thumbnail on TwitchTV when my cast is over for the day. I've brought up the topic with TwitchTV as a bug report a couple of times and have tried to google the issue with very few results explaining the matter. A recent topic in the TwitchTV forums revealed
a Twitch staff member claiming the problem is a bug with OBS and that it should be addressed here. Well, I figured I would address it here and see if anyone else is having the same issue. I apologize for my post if someone has brought this up already. I'd just like to know what is the cause behind it and what I can do to resolve the issue on my end. So, is the problem with OBS or something on my end? Can this be fixed and has anyone else experienced this?

I don't have this issue myself, so I don't know what's going on really. I use OBS 0.48.003 test build however.

EDIT: If you got CBR enabled, try turning that off, as well as CFR (if enabled) to see if it fixes this issue.

I think Twitch thumbnails are generated from the first keyframe that is sent by OBS, and currently in 0.472b with CBR, the first keyframe is not sent. This is fixed in the latest test version, or you could use VBR.

You aren't the only one with this problem as well. I have been using OBS for about 3 or 4 weeks now and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. Today,the twitch stream shows a grey image with no sound but if you view past broadcasts there is a video recording. This is all very weird.

Yes, the latest test builds fix this issue, I'm trying to go for a release but keep getting delayed with it due to more bugfixing and tweaking
