Morning everyone! This is my first post on the OBS project's official site forum. I am here today to clear an issue that I have been facing for the past few days.
For a bit of context, I decided to follow an old dream of starting a games channel on Youtube, the thing is, I am not really well off financially to buy any fancy recording software, so I turned to those who were free to use. OBS to me seems like a dream come true, a software that feels complete and not trying to chip away every resource you have, so I am thankful I found out about it.
Now, the actual issue: Since I mentioned before, I am not really well off financially, so I decided to start with a free-to-play game, this being Uma Musume on Steam, I downloaded OBS and attempted recording the game, though for some reason, whenever I attempt to create a source for the game capture, the only thing the display of the software showcases is a black screen, I already attempted meddleing with the configurations, transforming the display so it would fit the whole screen and so on. To illustrate it better, I will open the game and show on-screen whats going on: On the first image, I created the source for the game, on the second image, I had already selected a specific window for it to display/record and the configurations selected are seen bellow, on the third image I showcase this better by showing which window I selected (In the Game Capture source) for it to display (And you can see in all images the game running normally in the background), and one the fifth image I am showcasing how the display looks like when I do nothing and just click Ok, in the last image I showcase the result of utilizing the "transform" option to fit it on the screen (The red bleeding edge is clearly visible in all of the display, but the screen is still black).
Is this game somehow incompatible with OBS Studio? Should I install some form of plugin? Are there some other configurations I should look deeper into before trying to record the screen?
When I try recording the window of the game as opposed to the game itself, the result is the display in OBS Studio showcasing only the app itself, not the game (Though, in this case, the display is showing something other than a black screen, still, it isn't what I want it to display).
