Question / Help Game Capture/Window Capture Black Screen

I am unable to Window Capture (with Aero Enabled) or Game Capture league of legends. I haven't tried any other game to use these methods, but the only available method to stream with is Monitor Capture which gives me a higher performance drop than Game Capture. I've seen many threads on this problem and none of them provided a working fix for anyone as far as I know.

Ah, dual GPU set up....and unfortunately the ATI implementation seems to be much more problematic than the NVIDIA one. You can maybe look for updated drivers or BIOS updates.

I'm not sure why it's not detecting it, but for now you can choose "Compatibility Mode" in the Source properties. Window Capture only, though.

My drivers are fully updated and my BIOS is updated (at least according to the dell website and the ATI website). Window Capture doesn't seem to work either, it can't capture the LoL game client which Game Capture does. When I go to properties of the Window Capture, I see the LoL client in the box that shows what it's going to hook to, but when I press "OK" it switches to the next available program to hook was the OBS Logs folder. In short, is using Monitor capture the ONLY method for me?

In the properties of Window Capture, there should be a checkbox labeled "Compatibility Mode". Is there not?

If you did have it enabled, I suspect the issue may be the fact that your ATI GPU isn't being detected...but I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's being disabled when idle or something? If that's the case, go in a game first before you try to use OBS, but I'm sort of just grasping at straws in that case.

I had my compatibility mode checked. I guess I will go back to my laptop's native OS of Windows 8 and see if that fixes it. I had both OBS and my LoL.exe on high performance in my switchable graphics control panel so I assume that they were both on my video card
