Question / Help Frames Dropped?

Hey

I have a big problem.. i dont know what happened, but i get frames dropped with a "low" bitrate...
1 Week ago all was fine.. but since 2 days i get frames dropped with the SAME settings that i used 1 week ago.

Here are my settings:
FPS: 60
Resoluition: 1280x720
Bitrate: 3500/3500
Quality: 10
Preset: veryfast
Audio: 128
Server: EU Frankfurt DE (i tried every EU/DE Server, nothing worked, i tried also the test bandwith from Xsplit, sometimes i get a YELLOW light, sometimes a RED light and someimtes a GREEN light with a bitrate from 3500, but my internet connection is stable...)

I stream Counter-Strike 1.6 but but when i start the stream, i will get frames dropped after like...3-4minutes... I dont know why. My bitrate is fine so.. I have 50.000/10.000 Connection... Maybe its a Twitch issue or routing problem to the DE/EU Servers from twitch? My internet connection is fine. I did several speedtests with all the same results... I restarted my Router sometimes but still not working.. even when i use a bitrate from 2500 i still get frames dropped after 3-4minutes.

I hope someone can help me with this.

Re: Freams Dropped?

i would assume you're getting under 100ms to all eu servers.. use low latency mode from broadcasting settings and stick to Frankfurt server. otherwise try a farther server without low latency mode.

Re: Freams Dropped?

I updated my topic. Seems i get some issue with the Buffersend? What is this? I tried Low lateny mode... still not working...

that's the sendbuffer it also includes the audio buffer and protocol data.. the optimal server to you without latency mode should have around 65 ms (and almost no jitter) use the ping tool to spot it.

mh okey, i used now the EU: London, UK Server and get NO frames dropped... what the hell... Why did Frankfurt worked 1 week ago? and now not? i had no problems with Frankfurt.. and i dont use Low latency mode couz i dont know really the effect from it...

But some other german streamers, they can still watch my stream lagfree even if i use a UK Server? And whats the different between the servers? Just the ping and when a server is down, i can switch to this server?

well, sometimes you have to add a little bit of latency factor for things to go smoothly over a tcp protocol.
low latency mode however is good if you're experiencing a very noticeable added delay in your games actions..obs will send bytes out in a less bursty way in low latency mode but requires a stable connection with very minimal latency to the streaming server.

it should be no problem for anyone in europe to watch your stream if they have the stable downloading bandwith for it.

Okey, thanks. i think i have a stable internet connection so i can use low latency mode with all settings, or?
