Bug Report Disconnect Same time every 30 minutes

I've been having a problem with my stream for about 3-4 months now I wishfully thought would eventually resolve itself, I can't even say I'm certain it's a problem with OBS, but I don't really know where to start in figuring this out. My stream consistantly crashes every 30 minutes at roughly the exact same time (29:4x), if it somehow doesn't crash at that time it will correct the situation and crash on the next 30 minute interval (59:4x). Here's a picture of only a few: http://oi57.tinypic.com/2yx2bz5.jpg
My internet doesn't actually seem to disconnect (connect to game and voice chat always stays solid), which makes me question OBS or Twitch, and the stream will reconnect as soon as I click to stream again without any problems at all.

I can't think of what would cause something to so precisely mess up as consistently as this does, and I haven't seen anyone else reporting a similar problem. I thought it might be my modem, but the problem started 3 months after I changed to a new one. (I guess it still could be, but seems less likely). Point is I don't know. Any guesses where else I can start to figure this out?

Try bypassing any router and make sure any firewall / security software is disabled. The consistency of the timing makes me think your router is doing broken NAT and times out TCP connections after 30 minutes.

Hi Ster,

I have had this problem for months.

I've been everywhere to try and get support on this issue and have tried so many different solutions I had given up all hope of ever seeing a fix.

Then everything suddenly started working again. Streaming has been perfect for nigh on 6-8 weeks and then BANG, yesterday it all started again.

I come on here to find my old thread and here you are.

Out of interest you are not in the UK with Virgin Media are you?

The log file doesn't seem to be saying much in this case, only thing I noticed is that the timing between each "Stream ended" and "Stream started" is always 5 seconds, which is perhaps some automatic retry interval by OBS. This plus the lack of error messages at the end of the stream suggests something outside of OBS being the cause I think.

What kind of NIC are you using? Onboard, especially on older motherboards can be extremely shitty to put it frankly. I personally cured that by grabbing an Intel NIC .. The Pro/1000 CT card. I'm not here to do advertising, but that is a really really good network card.

I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with OBS myself in all honesty.

I'm running with an ASUS Sabretooth z77.
