Bug Report Cannot Use The Same Device for Both Audio and Microphone

Hi friends,

I've been looking all over for a solution for this, and it appears that nothing I try works. I'm currently using the Razer Kraken 7.1 Headset Microphone and for some reason, whenever I start or preview my stream, OBS is reading both my mic and audio from the microphone portion of my headset. For example, if I have Pandora playing in the background and I am singing along to it, although I may hear the song playing, the only thing that gets registered to my stream is me singing. At the same time, the microphone and audio that is being read in the OBS screen (the 2 bars that go up as you talk or as audio comes through that device) are both the same value.

Has anyone else had this same issue? I've already tried the workout posted a while ago that suggested you disable the Razer Kraken program from the list of start up programs.

As a shot in the dark, in your OBS audio settings, make sure the "Use Input device for desktop audio" box is not checked, and make sure your headphone output device is selected for your Desktop Audio device.

aaaaand your shot in the dark was correct. I had the "Use input device for desktop audio" box checked. I can't believe after all the different combinations of checking and unchecking things out of pure frustration that I did not try that one. Thanks alot, dodgepong!
