Bug Report Cannot Select Correct GPU

Hello all. So, I'll get right to the point. I like the interface of this software and I'd really like to use it, but at the moment I can't. I have an Acer Aspire 7750G-6662 laptop with both an integrated Intel video chip and a dedicated AMD Radeon HD 6650M video card. I've read on the forums that Optimus laptops have an issue where you have to choose the correct video card, so I think that that's my problem. However, when I go into Settings -> Video, my only option under Video Adapter is "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family". I'm really not sure what I can do. For reference, I've attached my DxDiag and below is my most recent log file:

For laptops, make sure to select the correct GPU using the AND/nvidia control panels, not in OBS itself. This is caused by the drivers unfortunately.. You have to set OBS using the control panel somewhere to run on the AMD (might be labelled as "performance").

Well i have the same problem. I tried choosing "high performance" for the obs in the switchable drivers of amd but the obs still sees intel hd4000 for itself and when i try to capture dota2 in game capture mod it can't do it because it runs on amd while system forcing obs to work on intel or something. It just gets black screen. Monitor capture works but it drops framerate amazingly so have to use game capture. I'm thinking of installing these modded drivers and let you guys know how it goes after that.

Thanks for the responses guys! I also assigned OBS to my dedicated card that I run my games on and it also didn't work with me (this is all done through AMD's Catalyst Control Center program). I haven't yet tried Monitor capture after assigning it to the correct card, but Window capture doesn't work. If you do use those modded drivers I'll be curious to see if they work for you. I was also thinking of going into device manager and just disabling the intel GPU, so OBS has no choice but to run on my AMD card. Unless you figure out that those modded drivers work before I get home tonight I'll try that.

Alright, update time. I tried installing those modded drivers, but they didn't work with my setup and I had to jump through hoops to get things back to the way they were before. I wouldn't recommend trying those if you have switchable graphics. I also tried disabling the Intel integrated chipset using Device Manager, but once I did that, the Video Adapter drop-down was empty and when I tried clicking "Preview Stream" it said "Could not get DXGI adapter". I looked this up, and apparently this should only happen if my DirectX is up to date. However, when I look in my DxDiag it says that my DirectX version is 11.

Does anyone have any idea how to get this to work?

You can't just double click and install a modded driver with win7 64bit unfortunately.. check the guide/stick thread that they have.
