Cannot install NDI-Plugin

When I try to install the NDI plugin, I get an error message that OBS-Studio is not installed. It is a flatpac installation and I suspect a deviation from the regular installation that I must somehow tell the plugin. Or is there something else I need to take into account?
The versions of OBS and the plugin match each other. (OBS 29.0.2 – NDI-Plugin: 4.11.1 – OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11)
