Bug Report Black Flashing Squares

Everytime OBS is open other windows like Chrome or even the screen get random black rectangles in random spots and they flicker every other second on the screen.. I saw a thread about this in 2012, is there any chance there is a way to fix this now? Looks like it's a AMD / OBS issue? Do i need to use a different recording software?

i5 4670k / MSI z87m Gaming Mobo / 16 gb ddr3 ram
r9 290x 4 gb ati amd video card

could probably link the thread and maybe post screenshots. I have a 280x and dont have any issue with chrome and obs

EDIT these issues are complicated because it could be just that OBS is taxing your CPU/RAM and causing glitches with an unstable build OR interaction between chrome and OBS but I doubt that.

remove all your addons from chrome. seems like you have a lot and I'm sure you use them, but just to rule out variables because, this doesn't seem to be a common issue so its not like it is directly OBS vs chrome issue. If that works, reinstall them one by one then restart chrome until the issue returns, then you'll know.

this is a slow process but better than trying to bump the thread every 20 days or so :P
