Bug Report Avermedia High Pitch Noise

Hey guys,

I once and awhile get a high pitch noise when I use my avermedia live gamer hd. It doesn't happen often maybe twice every 50 times. But I just wanted to submit it because i do believe it is a issue with OBS.

I honestly isn't much of an issue for me, i just remove the source and and readd it. Though most times I am using the Avermedia as a global source so that might be the cause aswell.

I don't know what causes this, but if you are on Windows 8, you may have to restart the audio.
There are tutorials on youtube to restart audio for Movie maker because the audio used to pan out.

i'm on windows 7. I have to remove the capture card all together and readd it again to make it stop.

windows seven may also have this Audio problem type thing, though I do not know what to do. I will check my PC and get back to you. I think it has windows seven

Just curious but how much effort have you put into reproducing the issue in other software? You stated originally that you believe the issue is related to OBS but never how you arrived at that conclusion.

Because i used the software for recording and never have the issue.

Been trying the new MP build and it seems that doesn't have the issue. Could making it a global source be the cause of the issue?

and I know you guys don't like to hear it but seems the issue doesn't exist on xsplit.

Ok further testing. If I start recording before streaming then check my capture card source on a still scene with no audio. it doesn't happen. If I start streaming and just click the capture card source with something going on (intro, gun fight, music even) it causes the audio problem.

OK, i think I sorted the issue out. I took out the card and did a clean boot then went not safe mode. Used a driver cleaner through CCleaner and removed all the drivers. I think got the drivers sent from my friend (who doesn't have the issue) and noticed that his was labeled different them mine.

Something like .0.1 on mine and 0.03 on his. Come to find out I was using the LTE version of the drivers which is for the same type of model but is a "LTE" version.

I am feel so stupid but the issue doesn't seem to happen anymore
