Audio recording problem

Hello people, I had a problem with the audio of a recording in obs. I had been recording files without a problem, until I started hearing an echo, then I changed the advanced settings of the microphone from "monitoring and output" to "monitoring only", thinking that this was the problem of the audio being heard duplicated during recording . When I went to check the recorded files they were without audio. Is there any way to recover that audio?

Echo is usually the Monitor going to the selected device in Settings -> Audio, and then a Desktop or Audio Output Capture grabbing that same device.

It does include its own Monitor when you do that, delayed by the time it takes to go through the operating system's audio processing. If that delay is long enough, you get a discrete echo. If it's shorter, you get reverb or a "weird metallic sound". Same thing, different delay.

If it's not in the file, then it's gone. Sorry. Output goes to the file, so if you turned that off, it's gone.
