Question / Help audio problems

I seem to be having problems with the audio. I raised the mic volume as high as it can get, but my voice continues to sound like it's in the background whenever I start playing games. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can fix it? I'm using a pair of earbuds with a mic on it, by the way.

Have you checked your mic level in your Windows recording devices?

Thank you very much for that suggestion. I didn't think about checking my mic with the computer itself. I just did that, and now my voice doesn't sound like a part of the video game's background. It's now working properly now and sounding like part of the foreground. Thanks again for the help!
