First let me be clear about my situation. I dual boot bettween two nvme drives. One with linux kubuntu and the other with widows 10. That way I can play games like BF2042, or Delta Force in win10 and the rest I play in linux. Anyway, I've never had one problem with OBS before the last patch...
I have the Replay Buffer Time set at 8 sec and it usually records 4-5 sec, other times I have it at 20 sec and i records 10 sec.
There doesn't appear to be a consistency, what does this depend on, how can I fix it?
Hey, I've recently discovered an issue(?) where enabling the 'Dynamically change bitrate to manage congestion' and using the '(Use stream encoder)' setting for recording causes footage clipped via replay buffer to match the fluctuating bitrate of the stream rather than the constant bitrate...
First time posting here as I couldn't find any other posts describing the issue I'm facing. I started using Replay Buffer as I wanted to move away from Shadowplay and it's been working pretty well so far. However, there is one problem I've been facing with it and I have no idea if it's a bug or...
This is just an edit of an edit of the plugin by upgradeQ and Gima. Originally edited by cwypt to add the feature of changing the audio file's volume, now made to work on Linux by me. - I am using Kubuntu 25.04, but the script should work on almost any other system regardless of OBS install...
Title is prolly a bit confusing but to put it as best I can I want to be able to clip something that just happened, and then have OBS keep recording for a little bit afterwards, that way I don't just keep clipping and clipping.
I've been trying to use replay buffer but whenever i attempt to activate it this happens. I have all my drivers up to date.
Here's the log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/BKmqEMdjIjMjvUfB
Adds "Restart Replay Buffer" hotkey to settings. When triggered, restarts the Replay Buffer.
Optionally, hotkey also starts Replay Buffer if off, so it can replace your "Start Replay Buffer" hotkey.
Optionally, "Save Replay" also restarts Replay Buffer, so it can behave more similarly to...
Hello! I did a quick search on the forums to see if this has been suggested before, and to the best of my knowledge, it has not.
I'd like to suggest a feature for OBS where Replay Buffer clips can be saved to a different folder than normal videos. Currently, both are saved in the same directory...
Hi everyone!
I’m encountering some problems with the replay buffer feature in OBS, and I’m hoping someone can help me out.
Here’s what’s happening:
Sometimes, both the replay buffer button in the program and the hotkey I set up for saving the last seconds of a replay don’t do anything at...
When a replay buffer gets saved, the file gets moved to a subfolder based on the name of the currently maximized window executable.
Similar to Replay Buffer Folders, but as a standalone .dll instead of relying on a .lua script.
A Python script that adds additional functionality to the Replay Buffer, so that it can be more conveniently used as a replacement for NVIDIA's Instant Replay feature.
New functionality (can be enabled / disabled individually at will):
- Clear buffer after saving
- Play a sound when the buffer...
Smart Replays
Smart Replays is a python OBS script whose main purpose is to save clips with different names and to separate folders depending on the application being recorded (imitating NVIDIA Shadow Play functionality).
This script also has additional functionality, such as sound and pop-up...
The purpose of this script is to periodically restart the replay buffer, as leaving it too long can lead to problems (e.g. a long saving of the recording).
The script attempts to restart the buffer when nothing is happening on the computer, so there's no risk of losing a valuable clip.
Every...
I have been recently trying to swap from NVIDIA instant replay to OBS Replay Buffer. Since then I've been having issues when it comes to clipping while I'm in game. The audio sounds fine, but the video capture is showing a slideshow instead of a smooth video. I understand it could be my system...
I've been using obs' replay buffer feature for months now with no issue, but recently (the past couple of weeks or so) obs has just been crashing randomly and I can't figure out why. My nvidia drivers are up to date, windows is up to date, and I've reinstalled obs twice but no luck. This is a...
I have been having some issues where the replay buffer is not recording the full time I set it to. It will vary from 21 -29 seconds. Not sure how to fix it. I have tried messing with the CQP level, keyframe interval, and maximum memory but I haven't been able to get the replay buffer to record...
I'm not a particularly savvy user, and I typically just use the replay buffer feature to take clips of gameplay and share with friends, however I've noticed a recent change to my replay buffer. Historically, most of my replays would get up to 45s in length and not use even close to the maximum...
Basically i have 6 additional keys on my keyboard and I've programmed one of them to press CTRL+ALT+F6 simultaneously which does trigger the keybind(saving replay) in OBS but also these pop up one of each on each monitor (they go away as soon as i click it again). I think they might be a camera...
I started having this problem 3-4 months ago, obs starts just fine but after long sessions of recording, replay buffer just doesn't save a clip, my keyboard shortcut is shift + f3
also, when you click "Stop Replay Buffer" I have to click 2 times to actually stop, it doesn't stop by just one...
